Excursion and tour details

Day 1

MOMBASA – TSAVO EAST NAT. PARK

6.00am: Pick up at your hotel, early morning departure and briefing by our tour driver guide. Depart and drive by road through the Mombasa Nairobi highway en route to Tsavo East National park. Tsavo East covers 11,747km² and in south-west Kenya, inland from the coast.

Enter through the Bachuma gate, and embark on a game drive in search of the famous red elephants because of the laterite soil (volcanic soil), the man eaters of Tsavo, cheetahs, giraffes, leopards, buffalos, and rhinos among other wide range of wildlife.

Drive through the park where the birdlife is also abundant and beautiful, with more than 400species to be seen. Check in at the Satao camp in time for lunch and on full board basis. 4.00pm: After lunch and either short siesta or swim, proceed for an afternoon game drive.

Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight on full board basis.

Day 2

TSAVO EAST – SALTLICK LODGE TAITA HILLS

6.00am: Wake up call for a morning game drive, pre-breakfast game drive and back to the lodge for breakfast.

Checkout of the lodge and another game drive via superb view of the sisal plantation view enroute to Taita hills wildlife Sanctuary. Arrive at Taita and check in at Taita hills Game Lodge for lunch, then to Saltlick, which is a true unique architectural concept, overlooking a waterhole that attracts a large array of wildlife, especially Elephants. Dinner and overnight accommodation at Saltlick lodge on full board basis

Day 3

SALTLICK LODGE TAITA HILLS – MOMBASA

Wake up call for a morning game drive, Return for breakfast, breakfast then check out and proceed for game drive on your way out and to Taita Hills Lodge whereby you could briefly do swimming at Taita Hills lodge, Lunch at then drive back to Mombasa.

After breakfast depart for a morning Game drive in the vast plains of Mara river as you continue in search for the big five and explore the famous Mara reserve. Two days are dedicated to game spotting in this sprawling reserve.
